About TATA Internships
TATA Internship Program is established to help the youth of TATA member families by promoting their talents and connecting organizations to leverage their skills, thus advancing on their college admissions and career.
Research Triangle Park (RTP) where TATA is serving Telugu Community for the past 30+ years is the home to numerous companies ranging from small businesses, startups to medium and large corporations. Several members of TATA are professionals and executives in these companies. Through our members and professional networking, we identify the needs to help with their small projects, freelancing and internships that may be paid or unpaid. As we witness the talents in our youth who are attending our TATA Leadership Academy programs, or as part of Yuva, we work as a bridge to connect them to such needs so that our youth can benefit gaining work experience. We also partner with local schools where our youth are the students to provide them additional guidance on career counseling, resume and interview preparations.

Team
TATA Internship Program is executed by an ad-hoc committee comprised of the following roles:
- Internship Director/TATA Vice President is the primary for execution of the program. Promotes internship program to the member families, selects interns, develops partnerships with schools, coordinates with TATA board on logistics.
- Business Coordinator identifies the businesses, startups, medium or large companies who are in need of interns, has programs to help internships. Connects the students to the businesses.
- Advisors participate in planning meetings, guides Internship Director or Business Coordinator on potential internship opportunities, businesses seeking interns or skills.
Current Opportunities
- A Durham based Startup Company is seeking user research and user experience evaluation for an innovative mobile application and it’s usage among the youth in terms of identifying/validating the use cases, feasibility of using the app, feedback for better usage.
